From 1 to 18 November 2003 I went with a group of German underwaterphotographers to Patagonia. The trip was organised by Detlef Denne and Frank Wirth. Every year the southern right whale comes to Golfo Nuevo, Peninsula Valdés to give birth and mate.

On 5 April 2009 we did a shooting for Pool Position IV in the swimming pool of Freizeitforum Marzahn in Berlin. This time the models posed in a theatrical setting underwater. There was a tight schedule to get all the
settings done so I spent four hours continiously in the water. The selected works were presented in the exhibition ‘Crossing Borders’ in the Café of the Kulturfabrik from 27 June to 26 July 2009 during the Moabiter Kulturtage in Berlin.

On 14 June 2009 I went with Michael Strehlke and Christoph Giese to Halbe to dive in the Heidesee. Michael made a movie of this dive with his camera mounted on an underwaterscooter. Click here to see the movie.

Pool Position is an art project of the Kulturfabrik Moabit in Berlin. Photographers, designers and models are working together to create surealistic scenes underwater. On 3 April 2008 an exhibition of fashionphotos was opened by Christoph Giese in Cafe Moab. Some of my pictures you can see in the gallery or click on "Lees meer..."
